Deciding what to do after high school can be a source of either excitement or apprehension for young adults. Kansas Gas Service wants to help graduates navigate this transition, which is why we’re hosting Career Connections, a free event for school administrators, teachers and counselors in the Topeka area.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 22, from 9:30-11:15 a.m. at the Kansas Gas Service Customer Contact Center (501 Gage Blvd., Topeka, KS), Career Connections will assist educators in career advisement for high school students.

"We know some students don’t plan to immediately attend college after high school, while also still looking for a meaningful career, and we believe Kansas Gas Service may be a good fit,” said Abbey Frye, director of Customer Service for Kansas Gas Service. “By bringing together educators and staff, this event will allow discussions around job opportunities and benefits at our company, which will enable high school graduates to pursue a fulfilling career as part of our diverse workforce.”

Educators will hear about Kansas Gas Service, its Core Values, company culture, benefits and customer service job openings at the Contact Center. Current employees and hiring managers will also be available to answer any questions attendees might have. Career Connections is free of charge and designed for educators from schools in Topeka and surrounding areas, including Lawrence, Manhattan and Emporia. Want to join us for Career Connections? RSVP to Andrew.Potter@onegas.com by Friday, June 17.
