Community Investment

Kansas Gas Service has a strong sense of duty to the communities we serve and lend a helping hand in many ways.

Kansas Gas Service and its parent company, ONE Gas, support charitable organizations through cash donations, sponsorships and grants, such as those given annually to public school foundations in our service territory. In addition to monetary support that improves services and builds capacity for impact, Kansas Gas Service employees engage in volunteer projects, supporting countless charitable organizations and events. Company executives and employees also serve on boards and committees for many nonprofits.

It is all part of our ongoing commitment to make our communities better places to live. We're helping make a difference through our employees and financial assistance through special community programs and events that enrich the lives of all Kansans.

Kansas Gas Service Volunteers

This program provides a structure that allows Kansas Gas Service employees to organize and select the volunteer projects that are important to them. Employees form committees to approve requests and maintain a volunteer event calendar, communicate details about volunteer opportunities, and recognize volunteers for their efforts in the community.

United Way

Kansas Gas Service employees support their communities through their individual contributions to United Way and other social and civic organizations.

Public School Funding Program

To enhance our philanthropic efforts in the education sector, the ONE Gas Foundation has allocated funds for classroom-based grants in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas from January through April.

These funds are specifically dedicated for our partnership with DonorsChoose.org, a nonprofit organization that operates a website where teachers can request public support for classroom projects by posting grant applications.
