Meter Maintenance Project
Kansas Gas Service is conducting routine maintenance on natural gas meters in cities across 8 counties in Kansas, starting the week of Sept. 14, 2026.
This maintenance project is not expected to disrupt customers’ natural gas service and typically only takes a few minutes to complete.

TruCheck is the contractor working for Kansas Gas Service on this project, which requires entering customers’ yards to access the natural gas meter. If you have questions about a TruCheck employee visiting your property, please contact their customer service team at 316-333-6654.
What Customers Need to Know:
- Technicians will drive white pickups with a TruCheck decal and carry photo identification badges that identify them as contract workers for Kansas Gas Service.
- Technicians will wear bright yellow-green, high-visibility safety vests with reflective striping and TruCheck branding.
- Contractors will carry identification badges, which will be shown upon request.
- No action is required by the customer. However, door hangers will be left at properties without clear access to the meter to schedule a follow-up appointment.
- Work will be performed Mondays through Fridays, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
