What is Gift of Warmth?
A non-profit program administered by The Salvation Army and funded by generous contributions from Kansas Gas Service customers and the ONEOK Foundation, which helps Kansans facing financial emergencies pay their home heating costs.
Who qualifies?
Kansans in the 78 counties served by Kansas Gas Service, but the applicant is not required to be a Kansas Gas Service customer. The program helps people who cannot cover their home heating expenses. All applications for aid are processed through the Salvation Army network of facilities and caseworkers.
How can I contribute?
You may check the space designating a gift to the program on your monthly billing statement and then overpay your gas bill in the amount of your donation. You can also enroll online to make an automatic, recurring gift or a one-time donation.
Can I make a contribution directly to The Salvation Army?
Yes. If you prefer, you can send a check or money order designating your gift to Gift of Warmth. Contributions can be mailed to:

How do I apply if I am in need of assistance?
Apply by calling their regional office at 1-877-566-2769, Ext. 402.
What are the qualifications?
You must be the person responsible for paying your energy expenses.
You must provide sufficient proof of need to The Salvation Army.
Your family’s gross income may not exceed 200 percent of the Federal poverty level.
Your request must prevent disconnection of service for the following 30 days.
